Alzheimer's Australia Research
Alzheimer’s Australia Research Limited (AAR) aims to promote, disseminate and fund Australian research into dementia.
 AAR was established as the research arm of Alzheimer’s Australia to promote, fund and disseminate research into Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of dementia. AAR provides annual research grants and scholarships to promote Australian dementia research and a key priority is to support emerging researchers and encourage the next generation of dementia researchers.
AAR promotes research into all aspects of dementia, including:
- Better understanding of causes of dementia
- Better understanding of the disease process
- Prevention or delay of dementia
- Development of a cure for dementia or a way to slow down the progress of the disease
- Finding the best ways of caring for people with dementia and supporting their families and carers
