Alzheimer's Australia (Qld)'s education courses and workshops are designed specifically for the health and aged care industries, including management and staff of care facilities, community and social workers, nurses and customer service staff.

Education & Training for Families & Carers
Family Carer Course
Subsidised by the Australian Government, this course is for family members caring for a person with dementia. Session consists of 12 hours face to face (usually one day per week over 3 weeks). Topics include: the nature of dementia; effective communication: impact of dementia; activities for living and pleasure; understanding behaviours of concern; developing effective responses to behaviours of concern.

A two hour community course subsidised by the Australian Government for people with an interest in reducing the risk of developing dementia.
