Who is this service for?
For people with early stage dementia and family members.
What does this service provide?
This program aims to maximise the health and wellbeing of people diagnosed with early stage dementia and their support persons. In a group format participants can:
- Tell their story of memory loss
- Reflect on the impact of their diagnosis
- Develop an understanding of the importance of self-care
- Enhance their skills for communicating with others
- Learn techniques for problem solving
- Extend their knowledge about legal and financial issues
How is the program structured?
The program runs for two hours each week for seven weeks or eight weeks. Sessions are held concurrently for people with dementia, and their family. Ongoing support is also available to provide social contact and further educational opportunities.

2008 Overview
In 2008, 35 Living With Memory Loss programs were conducted throughout NSW. Additionally, 2 special Younger Onset programs were held in Sydney.
Bega 1, Blue Mountains 1, Central Coast 2, Goulburn 1, Hunter 4, North Coast 7, Northern Rivers 2, Orange 1, Sydney and surrounding areas 14, and Wagga Wagga 2
