Alzheimer’s Australia Research (AAR) and the Dementia Collaborative Research Centre – Carers & Consumers (DCRC-CC) would like to announce the 2010 AAR/DCRC-CC Joint Postgraduate Research Scholarships for Research Focused on Quality in Dementia Care. Two scholarships are on offer at $30,000 per annum for up to 3 years.
The DCRC-CC’s primary research foci are the broad conceptual domains of Quality of Life (QoL) and Quality of Care (QoC). The DCRC-CC’s primary goal is to increase knowledge of the range of personal, physical and social environmental factors that determine quality of life and quality of care for both the person with dementia and their carer/s across the trajectory of dementia from diagnosis to a peaceful death. The DCRC-CC is one of three Dementia Collaborative Research Centres funded under the Australian Government's Dementia Initiative.
Students applying for these scholarships must have an academic relationship with one of the DCRC - CC collaborative partner universities (Curtin University, Griffith University, La Trobe University, Queensland University of Technology).
