It is with the help of people in the community and businesses, through donations and bequests, that we are able to offer free services such as the National Dementia Helpline, counselling and information sessions.
Our work can only continue with support from the community. This can occur in a number of ways, including;

Bequests
Bequests from Wills represent one of our organisation's most important sources of financial support. We would not be able to serve people with dementia and their families and carers at the current level without the generosity and foresight of people who have left bequests. By remembering Alzheimer's Australia Vic, you can turn your Will into an investment for the future.
In preparing your Will, your first concern will obviously be for your family and others close to you. After providing for the financial security for your loved ones, you may like to consider including a bequest to Alzheimer's Australia Vic in your Will.
A bequest to Alzheimer's Australia Vic through your Will can take the form of either
- A share or proportion of the residue of your estate, or
- A specified amount of money, or
- A nominated asset such as shares or real estate, or
- You can also nominate us as an alternative or substitute beneficiary in case any of your major beneficiaries predecease you.
If you have any questions about the above alternatives or would like to discuss your own particular wishes please do not hesitate to contact our bequest officer.
Also remember it is most important to regularly review and update your Will to cater for any changes in your family or personal circumstances.
To make a bequest to Alzheimer's Australia Vic we suggest the following wording to be considered by your legal advisor in your Will:
I bequeath to Alzheimer's Disease and Related Disorders Association of Victoria Inc. of 98 Riversdale Road Hawthorn Victoria for its general purposes the sum of $..... (or portion of estate or description of property) and I declare that the receipt of the treasurer of other proper officer shall be a sufficient discharge to my trustee.
We would be delighted to hear if you have included a bequest to Alzheimer's Australia Vic in your Will. By letting us know your intentions it will help us plan for the future and we would also like the opportunity to thank you personally, and invite you to join our "Memory Circle".

In Memoriam Donations
In Memoriam Donations, a tribute in lieu of flowers, provides an opportunity to remember a loved one with a practical tribute in their honour.
Should you decide to ask for gifts in lieu of flowers, we can ensure that donation envelopes are sent directly to the funeral parlour. All gifts are receipted and acknowledged to the donor and a list of donors' names and addresses is provided to the family.
